You can request document signatures without the need to add a source block. This simplifies the eSignature process allowing you to generate signable documents quickly for documents that don't need personalised each time. 🔥 In this article you will learn how to: 1. To get started, go to app.portant.co and click the "+ Add Workflow" button.
Next, choose the template you want to use. You can select either a Google Docs or Google Slides template.
Pick a template from your Google Drive or create one from scratch.
Once you've selected your template, give your workflow a title, color, and icon to personalize it.
Then, customize the template using the available formatting tools to make the document look exactly how you want.
After setting up your template, click "Configure" to request a signature.
On the right-hand side of your screen, you'll see a table with different signature placeholders that you can add to your document, including Text Fields, Check Boxes, Date Fields, and Initials. Click "Insert" to place them in the document wherever needed.
Note: If desired, you can also use text boxes to allow recipients to fill in the document with additional required information. Feel free to be creative while designing your template! 🧠🤓
Once your document is finalized, click the "Publish" button.
Then select "Publish Latest Version".
You will then have two options to access the signable document: Copy to Clipboard to easily share the link, or Open in a New Tab to review the document before sending it.
When the recipient accesses the document, they can click "Sign Now" to begin the signing process.
After signing, they must check the box confirming "I understand that this is a legal representation of my signature", then click "Insert" to finalize it.
To receive a copy of the signed document, the signer can enter their email address and click "Submit".
A confirmation page will appear, indicating that the document has been successfully submitted.
The signed document will be available in the Outputs Tab in Portant as well as in the Output Folder for easy access.
And that's it! 🤩 Your document is now signed and stored, making the entire eSignature process smooth and efficient.
