# Google Docs

Creating a Portant automation with a Google Docs template is a quick and efficient way to streamline your document generation. As Portant has full integration with Google Workspace, you can style your document exactly the way you want using all the available formatting tools — directly within Portant!

**In this guide, you’ll learn how to:**

## Set Up Your Portant Workflow with a Google Docs Template

Log in to your Portant account at [app.portant.co](http://app.portant.co) and click **+Add Workflow**.

Add a **Google Docs** template.

Select an **existing template** from your **Google Drive** (left-hand panel), or click **+ New Google Docs File** to create a new blank template.

Once you select your template, Portant will prompt you to:

* Add a **title** for your workflow
* Choose a **color**
* Pick an **icon**
* Click **Create**

The Next step is to add a source to your workflow. Click **+Add Source**.

Then, select your preferred source (e.g. HubSpot, Google Sheets, Google Forms, etc.).

Once you've added your source to the automation, it will look like this:<br>

Open the template in your workflow to customize it. Click the **Copy** button on the right-hand side of the source table, then **paste the tag** wherever you’d like it to appear in the document.

**If you selected HubSpot as the source:** \
You can run the automation directly from within HubSpot. Simply go to your HubSpot object, click **Generate/Actions**, and **select the Portant automation** you'd like to run.

**If you’re using other sources (e.g., Google Sheets, Google Forms):**\
Run the automation directly from Portant by clicking the **Automate** button in the top right corner, then click **Start**.
