# Manual Signature Request - PDF upload

Have a finished document you just need signed? Simply upload your PDF to Portant and turn it into a digital, sign-ready file. Add fields like signatures, names, dates, checkboxes, or text inputs so your recipients can complete and sign it online.\

2. Add recipient names and email addresses

### 1. Upload your PDF into Portant

To begin, go to your **Portant Signatures ta** (<https://app.portant.co/signatures>)  and create a new signable document.

**Click Upload** and **select the PDF file** you want to use.

Once uploaded, your PDF will appear on screen and you can proceed to the next step.

### 2.  Add Recipient Names and Email Addresses

Enter the name and email address of the person who needs to sign the document.\
**Click next**

> **Note:** Need multiple signers? You can add up to four recipients by clicking **+ Add Recipient.**

### 3. Add Signature and Fillable Fields

Drag and drop the fields you need — signature, text, date, checkbox, etc. — onto the PDF.\
Resize and reposition each field as needed for the perfect layout.\
When you're done, **click Next**.

### &#x20;4. Add Email Details, Enable Audit Trail & Send

In Email Message, enter the subject line and message that your recipients will receive.

If you want to include an **audit trail** in the final signed PDF, **toggle the option on**.

**Click Send.**

You’ll see an **“All Done!”** confirmation once your document has been successfully sent. **Click Close** to return to your dashboard.

### &#x20;5. Viewing Sent and Signed Documents

From your **Portant Signatures dashboard**, you can **track the status** of every document you’ve sent.

Once completed, signed PDFs can be viewed by clicking the **document name** in the table
